Dana Erskine-Pando of Nurses International spoke at the Safety and Health at Sea Event

Dana Erskine-Pando, COO of Flying Nurses International, spoke on the panel addressing Safety and Health at Sea at the recent ShippingInsight conference held in Stamford, CT.  Along with Dana, the distinguished panelists included the Director of Business Development for FIKE, a fire suppression management company, the ship’s Captain/President of Organization of Black Maritime Graduates, the military and family caregiver Subject Matter Expert/CEO of WiseHealth Inc., and the ship’s Captain/Vice President of Fleet Management Limited.  Each member of the panel brought a different facet of the care and safety of crew members to the attention of the audience, with a great deal of focus being placed on the statistics of social isolation and suicide attempts/completions among the seafaring community.   Flying Nurses International is honored to be a part of the solution, as we work to repatriate crew members who have become ill or injured during their sea voyage.
